The processes of modernization of artistic and industrial education, characteristic for today, have important tasks of individual training. It is important that for the system of higher artistic and industrial education, this means, first of all, the opportunity for the student to develop his own style of eastern artistic activity. This implies not only a departure from unification in the teaching of fine arts, but also offers diversity to future specialists in the field of artistic and industrial arts in eastern styles, genres, and visual techniques (including those based on modern computer technologies). The measures for the introduction into the system of artistic and industrial education of new Eastern art practices and innovative teaching methods, as well as a deep understanding of the methodological and didactic foundations of the process of teaching fine art students, on which each style, genre, and visual technique are based, have been determined. In this regard, the analysis of the conceptual foundations and features of the organization of the process of teaching eastern artistic and industrial art, the identification of problems in the system of practical training, and the justification of ways to solve these problems acquires important importance. The ways of solving the problems of teaching students artistic and industrial arts in the system of higher education on the basis of the Faculty of Decorative and Applied Arts, Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mykhailo Boychuk, which determine the prospects for improving the researched process: at the pedagogical level – the development of applied foundations of the process training in artistic and industrial art, taking into account the specifics of each of the directions – academic, traditional, innovative. Determination of value orientations, worldview positions, creative directions, on the basis of which the process of teaching eastern artistic and industrial art in the institution of higher education will be developed.
