Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the concept of ‘editing’ and its importance in creating video content. The main stages of the video editing process are considered, and its types and functional purpose are classified. Particular attention is paid to the role of editing in shaping the emotional impact on the viewer. Editing is seen as a technical technique for combining adjacent shots and as a form of creative thinking that allows the author to express his vision, influencing the viewer’s emotions, awareness and perception of the world. The functional purpose of mobile montage is to use techniques that create the integrity of fragments of video or audiovisual content, as well as the illusion of realistic events in space and time. Due to this, the viewer perceives the images as real and empathises with the characters, which is the basis of interactive content for mobile devices. It is noted that fast video editing in mobile applications allows you to quickly create high-quality content, such as Reels or TikTok videos. The importance of editing for creating commercials, which has become a daily practice of SMM specialists, is indicated. The advantages and disadvantages of popular video editors for mobile content, such as CapCut, PowerDirector and Filmora, are described. The role of mobile editing in creating new formats of visual content that can influence viewers through emotionality and dynamics is highlighted. It is emphasised that with the development of technology, mobile content editing will continue to evolve, offering new techniques and tools that open up even more opportunities for creativity. The author analyses the prospects for integrating artificial intelligence into the mobile editing process, which will automate such processes as scene recognition, colour correction, and suggesting editing options. This simplifies the workflow and expands opportunities for innovative approaches to content creation. It is stated that with the development of technology, mobile content editing will continue to evolve, offering new software solutions and techniques that open up additional opportunities for creativity. The possibilities and prospects of mobile editing in various fields are analysed, and the significance of this process for the modern culture of video content creation and consumption is emphasised.
