PRINCIPLES OF CREATIVITY IN LEARNING ART PRACTICE: ASPECTS OF MASTERING ART GRAPHICS

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal the key aspects of mastering the art of graphics, professional operation of its expressive means. Emphasis is placed on delineating the essence of creativity as an important and integral component of artistic practice, defining and justifying its place and role as a factor and guarantee of professional mastery of artistic graphics. To achieve the goal, graphic works were analysed, scientific and educationalmethodological works were studied, highlighting the features of the artist’s creative realization, visual literacy in the field of graphic art, the principles of mastering it, the specifics of graphic artists’ work on the creative embodiment of the idea. It was established that artistic activity as such is based on the author’s perception of the world, knowledge of the theory of fine art, its species, genre, expressive features, skilful possession of practical skills and skills in working with visual materials. Therefore, it is emphasized that its true essence is revealed only when these three basic components of art are realized precisely through the prism of creativity. Focusing on the concept – «without creativity, art does not exist, since it is its basis, foundation», – the author justifies that in fine arts, including in the field of graphics, the implementation of theory and practice without creativity is only the equivalent of «visual craft», purely «typical elementary execution». Next, the key aspects of creativity in the field of graphic activity are outlined, their direct and indirect role in the acquisition and improvement of artistic and graphic abilities and skills is determined. In particular, it is indicated that in each stylistic direction of expressiveness of graphic images (realistic, decorative, abstract) creativity manifests itself differently and has a different application format. As for the manifestations of creativity at the level of technical execution of graphic works, the emphasis is placed on the constant study of the theory and practice of graphic art, from the initial stages of its development to the improvement of the knowledge and skills already acquired and formed here. The conclusion was the proof that feedback and evaluations from the outside about the work performed by the artist are an effective incentive for him to self-determine the essence of his artistic «I» and to take appropriate steps to improve and expand his creative potential.
